You know that feeling when inspiration strikes and you spend hours pouring your heart and soul into a screenplay...Â
only to stall out after 10 pages.
Your blood boils and this project you were excited about starts to weigh on you.
You become STUCK.
And your self-confidence?Â
You wonder if you're allowed to call yourself a writer.
You think, "this writing thing can't be for me".
You regret telling your friends and family because they keep on asking about it!
You say, "I'm still working on it" but it's been weeks, months, even years.
It sucks, but you're not alone.
Most first-time Screenwriters are stuck on this start-stop-restart hamster wheel.
I call it, The Rewrite Loop.
First, you START:
Inspiration! It shocks you like a lighting bolt. Your MOVIE IDEA: it seems so complete, so inevitable, you're energized, motivated and determined.
But once you start to write, you realize there are some major holes.
Then, you STOP:
That idea ends up only lasting 10 pages. You don't know what happens next. The gaps between the plot points feel like a black hole. You start to second-guess yourself and wonder what your character is supposed to do.
Then, you RESTART:
The loop has a sick sense of humor... because if you would just stop and give up forever you wouldn't be in a loop.
But the thing is... you don't want to stop. You want to succeed.
You want to write a screenplay you're proud of! And hell, you're gong to achieve it!
I like the attitude, but this is where I come in.
Restarting without a change will lead to the same outcome. Chronic frustration, minimal progress.
You need a different approach - you need a better strategy!Â
Here's the truth that changes everything:
First-time Screenwriters have discovered a way to quietly transform any idea into a feature length screenplay and it has nothing to do with talent, writing every day, or getting a degree at a prestigious film school.
They understand that an idea that has the potential to be a feature film cannot be found.
It must be developed.
And they follow a strategy that will produce consistent results that they can control (not just hope for).
Understanding this puts your final draft into your own hands.
It makes writing your screenplay no longer impossible - but doable, achievable, predictable!
Instead of leaving it up to chance.
All of this is possible for you.
Now is the time to break out of The Rewrite Loop!

About your host:
If we haven't met before - hi, my name is Kevin
I'm a development and writing coach.
I like to say my job and hobby are the same - making films.Â
My career has lots of variety: from selling an original screenplay, Emmy-winning filmmaker, Assistant Directing a Netflix Acquired Film, Director of Photography and Producer of Live Events.
When I'm not on set telling someone else's story I am writing and producing my own.
My goal for every writer I work with is for them to pen their big idea onto the page. To have the confidence to create their story from fade in to fade out and be proud to share their script with the world.
With nearly a decade in the industry, I dedicate my time helping screenwriters develop and finish their screenplays by making complex ideas feel simple, actionable and achievable.
